Sydney | Pittwater

Enter the world of offshore living in Sydney's northern beaches. Shot over a year, this book captures a community brought together by the particularities of water-access-only living, for whom Ratty and Mole's famous 'messing about in boats' is a part of the everyday. A Ferry Tale is a photography book with stories of living by and on the water. It captures the seasonal and daily moods, light and activities that make up 'the island way', such as the Scotland Island Dog Race, the end-of-term bombing into the ferry wash, quiet mornings, moonlit nights and blooms of moon jellyfish. Community activities are set against a cinematic diorama of tides, bush and wildlife in the drowned valley estuary of Pittwater.
